Obviously, to get Obama elected, the Democrats NEED Americans to feel like we are depressed, painfully struggling, and barely surviving the "depression of the last 8 years"...but really??
Ignore the over-hyped hollywood pomp and circumstance, and just know the REAL facts...
The latest numbers from the U.S. Census Bureau for the past year are this:
*the median household income is UP 1.3 percent, to $50,233
*the poverty rate is unchanged at 12.5 percent
*the percentage of the public without health insurance DROPPED by half a percent to 15.3 percent.
NOTE**ALL of this, while practically eradicating muslim extremist terrorists from the planet (you know the ones who USED to terrify us with televised beheadings and suicide bombings.)
So these are the horrible times we are "painfully enduring"? I agree that we may not be economically booming in the U.S. right now, but there is a LONG way between not booming and struggling through a recession. History has consistenly shown us this economic cycle. And if things are SO bad, then bad compared to what?? What other country are census statistics like these (in the FEW countries that even allow or PROVIDE census statistics) scorned and chided??!? Where else on EARTH are you afforded the freedoms and the resources to pursue your dreams?? ...wait, come to think of it, what other country are people risking their lives and leaving their families to get into and become a part of? where it is a lifelong dream to obtain a Visa or green card??
